Project came about as result of rebuilding program after Woolsey fire in 2019 in Malibu which destroyed many single family homes. The design tasks were:
1- Utilize the same square footage for the new as the old structure had
2- Utilize the same height for the new project
3- Maintain the Fire Department access in the front of the building.
Floor plan is compact as to fit the footprint of the previous building. The exterior deck as well as the large roof deck provides a rich visual experience worthy of the property facing the ocean.
